We’re making it even easier for you to record professional, ready-to-share videos. The latest update to our Mac and Windows apps adds Webcam Backgrounds and Effects, allowing you to give your screen recordings a cleaner, more polished look without any extra effort.

Just start a screen recording, hover over the webcam, and click the new Effects icon in the controls below to start customizing your camera background.

Not everyone has the time or resources to invest in setting up and maintaining the perfect workspace. Your space might be cluttered, lack sufficient lighting, or simply be at odds with the subject of your video. With virtual webcam backgrounds, you can effortlessly:

And that’s not all you get. You can choose to blur your background, balance out the lighting in your room to improve visibility, and apply a subtle or strong face retouching filter.
