Speaker Notes

Say goodbye to juggling notes off-screen. Meet Speaker Notes, a brand-new addition to Jumpshare’s screen recorder that makes it easier than ever to present with confidence and flow.

Whether you’re recording a tutorial, a product walkthrough, or a video message, forgetting your lines or breaking eye contact to check your script can throw off your delivery. That’s where Speaker Notes comes in — your personal teleprompter, right on your screen.

Present Like a Pro

Simply click the Speaker Notes icon on the screen recorder toolbar, and a tiny window will pop up in the top left corner of your screen. This window acts as an on-screen teleprompter that floats above everything else, keeping your script front and center, but only for you. The Speaker Notes window will not appear in your final recording (except for on Windows 10), so you can read your notes without showing them to your audience.

Speaker Notes window

Type or paste your script directly into the Speaker Notes window, then tailor the teleprompter to your needs with the following options:

  • Move It Anywhere: Drag the window around your screen to position it wherever works best for you.
  • Resize the Window: Enlarge the window to see more of your script or scale it down to keep your screen clutter-free.
  • Adjust Font Size: Make the text as big or small as you need for easy reading.
  • Control Scrolling Speed: Set a playback speed that matches your speaking pace.

Once your recording starts, hit Play on the Speaker Notes window to begin scrolling through your script.

Why Use Speaker Notes?

Using a teleprompter like Speaker Notes can:

  • Help you remember key points without breaking eye contact with the screen.
  • Improve your speaking fluency by keeping your delivery smooth and structured.
  • Save time with fewer retakes caused by forgotten lines or awkward pauses.
  • Make your recordings look and sound more professional.
