<\/p>\nJumpshare has pivoted from a file sharing platform to a screen recorder and video platform for hosting, sharing, and marketing videos.<\/p>\n
Jumpshare started with a simple idea: make sharing files fast and effortless.<\/p>\n
Over the years, we expanded beyond file sharing. We added tools to record your screen and webcam, capture and annotate screenshots, and create animated GIFs. Together, these tools turned Jumpshare into a complete visual communication platform used by individuals and teams to share ideas, explain their work, and communicate more clearly.<\/p>\n
As the product evolved, so did the way our customers used it. Screen recordings and videos became an increasingly important part of how people communicate with their teams, support their customers, demonstrate products, create tutorials, and grow their businesses.<\/p>\n
After many conversations with our customers and much thought about where Jumpshare can provide the most value, we have decided to make video the core focus of our product.<\/p>\n

Going forward, our goal is to build the best screen recording software and video marketing platform.<\/p>\n
This is not a sudden change in direction. Video has been a growing part of Jumpshare for years. We have steadily improved our screen recording tools, video player, sharing experience, collaboration features, analytics, and AI capabilities. This renewed focus gives us the opportunity to bring all of that work together and build a more complete video platform.<\/p>\n
Our roadmap will now be centered around three major areas.<\/p>\n
First, we are continuing to improve our 100% native desktop screen recorders for Mac and Windows. Native apps allow us to deliver better performance, 4K quality recordings, deeper operating system integration, and a more reliable recording experience.<\/p>\n
Second, we are building a brand-new Chrome extension to make recording and sharing videos directly from the browser faster and easier.<\/p>\n
Third, we are updating the Jumpshare web app with new video-focused and AI-powered features. These improvements will give you more control over how you host, share, market, and work with your videos after recording or uploading them.<\/p>\n
Our aim is to make Jumpshare useful throughout the entire video workflow, from capturing an idea to sharing it with the right people, understanding how they engage with it, and turning that engagement into action.<\/p>\n
Screen recording may be our primary focus, but visual communication often requires more than just video.<\/p>\n
Sometimes a screenshot is the fastest way to point something out. Sometimes an animated GIF explains a short interaction better than a full video. These tools remain an important part of the Jumpshare workflow, and we will continue to offer them alongside our video tools.<\/p>\n
The difference is that our main product development efforts will now be focused on screen recording and video.<\/p>\n
We know that many customers still depend on Jumpshare to upload, preview, organize, and share files. We are not removing those capabilities.<\/p>\n
Jumpshare will continue to support file sharing, and the files you already store and share with us will remain available. You will still be able to upload files, generate shareable links, preview supported formats online, and collaborate with others.<\/p>\n
However, our development roadmap will be focused on the video tools that help businesses communicate, collaborate, and grow with video.<\/p>\n
The best products are built with a clear purpose.<\/p>\n
Jumpshare has grown into a broad platform with many useful capabilities, but trying to improve every part of the product equally can make it harder to deliver the depth and quality our customers expect.<\/p>\n
By focusing our efforts, we can move faster, make better product decisions, and invest more deeply in the areas where we believe Jumpshare can make the greatest difference.<\/p>\n
We want recording a professional video to feel effortless. We want sharing it to take seconds. We want viewers to have a fast and polished experience on any device. And we want businesses to have the tools they need to save time, engage viewers, generate more leads and bookings, and turn every video into an opportunity for growth.<\/p>\n
That is the Jumpshare we are building.<\/p>\n
This marks an important new chapter for Jumpshare, but our original mission remains the same: help people share their work and ideas more effectively.<\/p>\n
The way we deliver on that mission is becoming clearer. We believe video is one of the most powerful ways to communicate, whether you are explaining a feature, answering a customer, presenting an idea, teaching a process, or promoting your business.<\/p>\n
We are excited about what is ahead and look forward to sharing the new screen recording, video hosting, marketing, and AI tools we are working on.<\/p>\n
